Hammerson Sustainability Report 2019 - Our Journey to Net Positive

We are pleased to be able to share our latest sustainability report, looking at our performance in 2019 and our journey to Net Positive.

In this year's report we focus on progress against our Phase 1 Net Positive target - to be Net Positive for landlord controlled carbon emissions, water, resource use and socio-economic impacts by 2020.  Download our Summary and Full Sustainability Reports for 2019 below.

In Section 1 you can hear from our Chief Executive David Atkins as he looks back over the past ten years, reviews our performance in 2019 and talks about our plans for 2020. Our Group Head of Sustainability Louise Ellison takes a Look Ahead at the trends we are seeing, and outlines how Hammerson is proactively responding to these.  We also look at how our Governance works, and we discuss how we are responding to the requirements of the Task Force for Climate-related Financial Disclosures.

In Section 2 we explore our Net Positive approach in more detail.  Our timeline to Net Positive looks back to 2006 when we initially set sustainability targets, highlighting the major changes we have seen both internally and externally since then.  We look at how we are balancing our impacts through inset and offset projects and we share trajectories showing our progress against each Net Positive area.

In Section 3 we provide all our GRI and EPRA standard data, alongside our Net Positive data.
