Manor Walks celebrates Community Day

22 Jun 2016

Manor Walks, our Retail Park in Cramlington spent their Community Day with the aim to bring the local Cramlington community groups to collaboratively work together.

They achieved this by actively engaging with community groups such as Autism Northumberland, Northumberland council, Dementia care and Active Northumberland. With a focus on key shopping trend of consumer health and wellness, it was a great way to raise awareness and local support.

Friday 10th June Footfall:

-Footfall was up + 2.9%

-30, 963 visitors 2016/ 30,090 2015

PR – reaching to integral community hubs

-Coverage value £8,057.50

-OTS – £14,455,580

This was a great initiative as Manor Walks is seen as an integral hub within the South East Northumberland area. Local media also covered the event titling it ‘Community Day to celebrate all that is good in Cramlington.’ (News Post Leader)

What the community groups had to say about their experience:

“We spoke to about 100 people during the event and got some really good information and feedback from people. Most people participated in the interactive aspects of the stall, and many were interested in the projects that we had on display.” Northumberland County Council

“We received 3 new members and lots of enquiries regarding volunteering. We also received over £90 from our tombola and several on the spot donations.” Autism Northumberland

“We had a great day and a lot of positive feedback from our shoppers. We had 16 walk in bookings on the actual community day. And we are still getting business now - which is nearly a week later.” Specsavers
